Bevel Edit ( Drawing Editor )
Tool summary :
- Lets you edit one or multiple bevel symbols that you select. Selection filtering is built in.
- While Bevel Edit can be used to edit one bevel symbol at a time, the tool is more commonly used for multi-editing. The preferred way to edit a single bevel symbol is to double-click it while ' Default ' is selected as the selection filter.
- If you preselect multiple types of objects, Bevel Edit will edit only those objects that are bevel symbols. The other objects will remain selected. Click here for an example. Preselection is done in Select Items mode. Here are the steps:
Select Items bindings (for preselection) - Draw an area box or hold down the Shift key and left-click ( Select+ ) several objects of the same type or of different types.
- Invoke Bevel Edit .
- The Bevel Symbol window opens.
- In-tool selection takes place when you invoke Bevel Edit with nothing selected or with object types other than bevel symbols selected. The tool brings up Select Item(s) mouse bindings, and the status line prompts you select bevel symbols. Here are the steps:
- Invoke Bevel Edit .
Select Item(s) bindings (for in-tool selection) - Select one or more objects. Built-in selection filtering restricts you to selecting bevel symbols. Press the Enter key when you are done selecting the objects.
- The Bevel Symbol window opens.
- Invoke Bevel Edit .
- To invoke Bevel Edit :
Method 1 : Click the Bevel Edit icon. The icon can be taken from the group named ' Objects -- Bevels ' and placed on a toolbar (classic) or the ribbon (lightning).
Method 2 : If " Drawing Editor layout style " is ' Classic ', you can use the menu system to choose Objects > Bevels > Edit .
Method 3, 4 or 5 : Bevel Edit can also be invoked using a keyboard shortcut , the context menu , or a mode . For the ' Lightning ' layout style, configuration of the interface is done using Customize Interface .
